Five Upcoming Movies You Need To See

Which one is your #kattawaiting?

  1. This Haneef Adeni-scripted Nivin Pauly starrer is already making waves with the gritty teaser featuring Nivin as the rough and tough Doctor Mikhael. Haneef Adeni has already had some luck with two Mammooty films but his movies have eluded critical success. With "Mikhael", the tide may turn. "Mikhael" is a crime-drama with an element of vigilante justice. The movie has already hit the floors and is expected to release late 2018 - early 2019.

  2. When Prithviraj was dropped from R.S. Vimal's mythological epic "Karnan" there were a lot of disappointed fans. However, the actor has already made fans sit up and take notice with his new epic film "Kaaliyan" (based on the ballads of Iravikuttipillai, a warrior from Venad.) The actor's audio teaser has already attracted quite a lot of attention and the movie is expected to release in 2019.

  3. 3 Trance

Touted as one of the biggest Anwar Rasheed movies to date, "Trance" stars Fahad Faasil in the lead, along with Soubin Shaheer, Vedhika and Alphonse Puthren being named in the list of cast members. While the movie was supposed to release around April this year, it is still under production and will probably hit screens sometime next year. "Trance" also features the Oscar-winning composer Resul Pookutty on the team.

  4. Dulquer Salmaan has been absent in Mollywood of late - he's been busy making it big in other industries especially in Bollywood where all the ladies in North have fallen for his charm. Thankfully, we will have him back soon in "Oru Yamandan Premakadha" in a never-before-seen avatar as a humble local painter. The film is scripted by Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Bibin George of "Amar Akbar Anthony" and "Kattapanayile Rithwik Roshan" fame. The movie is expected to release in 2019.

  5. 5 Kalki

Tovino Thomas is hot property right now and in Praveen Prabharan's "Kalki", he will once more be donning the khakhi uniform to play a cop. The director has said that his character will have some similarities to Mammooty's cult character 'Inspector Balram'. Meanwhile, the young actor has many other works coming up, including "And the Oscar Goes To" and "Oru Kuprasiddha Payyan".
